What is included in our kitchen price
Carcass, shutters, hardware, skirting, granite or quartz top, sink installation and chimney and hob fitting. Appliances, the sink and faucet, and tiles are usually listed separately so you can choose brands.
Plywood grades matter
Units under and near the sink take water every day. We use BWP (boiling water proof) plywood there and BWR or MR plywood for wall units. Cheaper particle board swells within a year in Mumbai humidity, so we do not use it for carcasses.
Layouts for Mumbai flats
Straight kitchens suit 1 RK and narrow 1 BHK kitchens. L-shaped layouts give a corner for the hob and more counter space. Parallel kitchens need at least 7 ft of width. U-shaped kitchens fit larger 2 and 3 BHK flats.
Tall units next to the fridge add pantry space without taking counter space, which is the single best upgrade in a small kitchen.
